Basic Bread
Takes 2 hours for 1 loaf
- All-Purpose Flour
- Warm Water
- Warm Milk
- Sugar
- Butter, softened
- Instant Yeast
- Salt
- In a medium–large bowl, mix water, milk, sugar, butter, yeast, and salt together until dissolved.
- Mix in flour until hydrated, let rest 15 minutes.
- Stretch and fold dough in bowl, turning gently until smooth (2 minutes). Rest 45 minutes.
- Punch down dough, shape, and divide (if making multiple loaves). Rest 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Bake 375°F for 30 minutes.
