Orange Taco Sauce
Makes 2 cups, takes 45 minutes
- 4 Roma Tomatoes, quartered
- 1 White Onion, quartered
- 1 cup Neutral Oil
- 2 Large Dried Chiles
- ⅓ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- ½ cup Chile de Arbol
- ½ cup Water
- Spread tomatoes and onion onto a baking sheet, drizzle with some oil and sprinkle salt on top. Broil until charred (20 minutes).
- Saute garlic and chiles in some oil on low heat for 10 minutes.
- Add garlic, chiles, vinegar, and water into a blender and let soak for 5 minutes.
- Blend on high speed for 2 minutes.
- Reduce blender to low, and drizzle in oil.
- Add tomatoes and onion to blender, and blend on high speed until smooth.
- Taste and season, and store refrigerated.
