Orange Taco Sauce
Makes 2 cups, takes 45 minutes
1 Cup Neutral Oil½ Cup Chile De Arbol½ Cup Water⅓ Cup Apple Cider Vinegar4 Roma Tomatoes, quartered2 Large Dried Chiles1 White Onion, quarteredGarlic
- Spread roma tomatoes and white onion onto a baking sheet, drizzle with some of the neutral oil and sprinkle salt on top. Broil until charred (20 minutes).
- Saute garlic and large dried chiles in some oil on low heat for 10 minutes.
- Add the garlic, chiles, chile de arbol, apple cider vinegar, and water into a blender and let soak for 5 minutes.
- Blend on high speed for 2 minutes.
- Reduce blender to low, and drizzle in the remaining oil.
- Add the tomatoes and onion to the blender, and blend on high speed until smooth.
- Taste and season, and store refrigerated.
